A source of magnesium is generally a food or ingredient that is rich in magnesium. In the Beyond Magnesium Complex, we use three sources of magnesium, consisting of organic and inorganic magnesium, in order to optimize bioavailability and compatibility.

Magnesium Oxide Is recommended for the long-term development of a magnesium level and the filling of the body's own magnesium deposits. It is one of the inorganic magnesium formulas and is also used as elemental magnesium.

Magnesium Citrate Has a high solubility in water and can thus be absorbed quickly via the intestinal wall. The fast absorption allows the magnesium level to rise quickly.

Magnesium bisglycinate Is an organic magnesium compound (the magnesium is bound to the amino acid glycine). The amino acid in the chelate complex protects the mucous membranes in the digestive tract and therefore magnesium bisglycinate is considered to be particularly well tolerated. 

L-cysteine, the building block for NAC and L-gluthation

L-cysteine is one of the semi-essential amino acids, so it is produced by the body itself, but must also be ingested with food. N-acetyl cysteine, also called NAC, is a closely related compound of L-cysteine.

L-cysteine is a component of skin and hair and stimulates the production of proteins, the antioxidant glutathione and taurine. Glutathione plays a role in the defense of the body and has antioxidative properties. It also plays a role in the transformation of nutrients in the body and the production of DNA and proteins.
